Hi everyone!

Here's a write up for my paintings on the Be Still exhibit.  Enjoy!

Be Still. Two words that are calming to one who may be at the point of uncontrollable excitement, yearning, distress, or frustration. How can one be still in times of trouble? The translation brought about with the two words were executed on subjects that are inanimate. Inanimate yet still wishing to be of service until it's end. Things designed to be of great help for man: to be still.

We will never know how many fires the exterior fire hose cabinet no.5 stopped, or the number of emergencies the guard post attended to, or the number of discarded treasures the trash cart carried. All of them wish you to use them. All of them are and will be still, until needed.
